Ingredients

Maize Flour, Maize Starch, Sugar, Raising Agents (575, Sodium Bicarbonate), Soy Flour, Salt, Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin), Vegetable Oil, Vegetable Gum (415).

Made on equipment that also processes Egg, Milk, Peanuts and Tree Nuts.


Pancake Mix directions

To Make Pancakes

  • You will need:
  • 1 BASCO Pancake Mix (450g)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1¾ Cups (420mL) Milk
  • 1½ Tbsps (30g) Melted Butter or Margarine
  • 1. Preheat frying pan. Grease well.
  • 2. Place Pancake Mix, 1 egg, 1 ¾ cups milk and 1 ½ Tbsps melted margarine or butter into a mixing bowl. Mix well with a whisk until ingredients are combined (batter may appear slightly lumpy).
  • 3. Pour batter into frying pan to desired size. Once bubbles have appeared and burst (approximately 1 – 2 minutes), turn pancake and cook until golden brown.
  • To Make Crépes

    • You will need:
    • 2 Cups BASCO Pancake Mix (300g)
    • 1 Egg
    • ½ Cup (62g) Icing Sugar
    • 1 Cup (250mL) Buttermilk
    • 1 Cup (250mL) Water
    • 2 Tsps (10g) Melted Butter or Margarine
    • 1. Preheat frying pan. Grease well.
    • 2. Place 2 cups pancake mix, 1 egg, 2 Tbsps melted margarine or butter and ½ cup icing sugar 1 cup water & 1 cup of buttermilk. Mix well with a whisk until combined. (Batter may still appear lumpy).
    • 3. Pour batter into frying pan, approx ¼ cup batter for each crépe tilting pan to spread mixture evenly.
    • 4. Cook for 1 – 2 minutes, turn crépe and cook until golden brown. Makes approximately 6 – 7 (15 – 16cm) crêpes.
